Krazy Kelly Kids

December 2007

Merry Almost Christmas!!! In 5 days it'll be Christmas again, and I can't believe it's been another year. When you're in the pits of the day and you haven't showered, and the house is trashed, and the kids are still in their pj's at 3 o'clock in the afternoon you look around and feel like it will never end, and it will always be this way. Then, 11 months later you look around and wonder where all the time has gone, and hope it will always be the way it is at that very moment.

It has been a crazy, stressful year for the Kelly’s, but we have amazing friends and family who keep our chins up and our hearts light! Thank you all, even if you think you’re not a big piece in our puzzle, trust me...You Are!!! Positive thoughts prevail that 2008 will be our break-out year, and the square peg will finally find its hole.

Anyway, onto the kids. Liam has had some testing done because there was some concern about his growth. As more of a "Let's do this so we know we don't have to worry" move, the Doctors ordered some blood work and other labs to check him out. All came back looking great, so a sigh of relief has blown through our home. He's just a tiny guy, but man, that kid has the energy of a dozen little boys, and he is smart as a whip!! He can climb just about anything, and if he can't, he'll find a way. The other night we got pizza; I had gotten the kids' plates ready and on the table and I was getting the drinks. I turn around to the table, and Liam had pulled out the chair, climbed it, then onto the table, and was sitting up there eating the pizza!!! Geesh, he's not only good at climbing, he's fast too!!!

Kassidy has become ever so dramatic. Everything is a production and larger than life. Her frustration levels continue to climb as her want exceeds her ability. I'm trying very hard to get her to "Try, Try again", but it's a long, bumpy road. Listening is a constant issue, and there have many TV-less days because of it. She is, however, as sweet as can be, and I am still amazed at how much she loves her little brother. Ever the constant mother hen, she always makes sure he is okay, and rarely has an issue with sharing or helping him out. She often finishes his sentences for him, and has also started using him as a ploy when she's not allowed to watch TV ("Liam wants to watch Bob the Builder") I hope that continues because I would love to see them have a solid relationship as teenagers (gulp) and adults.

Oh, I just feel like there is so much and I can't remember half of it...ah well...such is life. Thanks for checking in with us, thanks to those who are there with us, and thanks to those we have yet to meet. Just knowing you are in the world makes ours better!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!
