Krazy Kelly Kids

May 2006

Today was officially Kassidy's last day as an only child. Tomorrow she moves into Big Sisterhood. It was kind of a rough day for me. Sleeping has been difficult due to the belly, plus I just can't get my brain to turn off. I was able to take a nap this afternoon since both grandmas, Uncle Chucky, and Daddy where here to wrangle Miss Kassidy.

Bill and I are to be at the hospital at 6am. I have a feeling, with all the contractions I've been having, that this delivery won't take as long as Kassidy's, which wasn't long at all.(Knock on Wood!!!)

I'll post the details and pictures of our beautiful boy as soon as possible. Thanks for checking in on us, and please sign the guest book!! I'd love to know you've been here.

Take Care. Lots of love from the Kellys!!!

I had my 36 week appt. today, and the Dr. said that she wasn't sure just yet if we'd set a date or not. I was kind of bummed, because I just really needed to have the date to give me some peace of mind as far as getting the grandmas into town for the delivery/watching Kassidy. So, I told her that I've been having stronger contractions, and she did the GroupB test & pelvic. She said, "Well, I guess we WILL set a date today. You're 3cm dialated!" Woohoo!!

Hopefully I can make it to my induce date. I dialated early with Kassidy, so I'm keeping everything crossed that I'll make it another 2 weeks.

    Wish me luck!!!

We had, probably one of our last "Family Fun Days" as a threesome on Saturday. It has been pretty yucky here all week, and Bill decided that he didn't want to sit in the house all day Saturday so we headed to Newport, KY to go to the Aquarium. Kassidy was amazingly well behaved, and loved seeing all the fish and sea life. When presented to the Clownfish display, I asked her who it was to which she happily replied, "Nemo"!! To cute. It was alot of walking for my 8 month pregnant self, but so worth it. We had a great day, even if the weather outside was the pits!!

We had an ultrasound on Friday. Liam is getting big. He was measuring nearly 6lbs (give or take) and with him laying down as much as half an ounce of fat every day that should put him right around Kassidy's birth weight of 7lb 11oz. There was some question about my fluid levels, which I was VERY upset about since I have been asking for a check of the fluid since the first U/S at 20 weeks. Its not in a dangerous range, but it's still lower than they like to see. I have a Dr.s appt. on Tuesday morning, and hopefully we'll get our induce date.

It's not long now...Only a few more weeks 'til Baby Makes 4!!!

Let me just say that I have the funniest 21 month old ever!! So, I know that Kassidy knows she's funny. She makes silly faces, and dances crazy to make us laugh, and she'll usually laugh too, but not like tonight. She was a little energetic tonight at bedtime, but we proceeded with the normal routine. She and I sat in the rocking chair to read "Goodnight Moon". Usually she'll sit and listen, pointing to the pictures as I read. Not tonight!!!

I start reading, and she starts poking the pages pretty hard(it's a board book). I start laughing, and then she starts. But I keep reading, and the more I read, the harder she hits the pictures. The harder she hits the pictures the harder I laugh, and the harder I laugh the harder she laughs. It got to the point that I had tears streaming down my face and she hit the book so hard it flew across the room...well, maybe not across the room, but I dropped it!!! It was fun, and I love to hear that baby belly laugh, especially Kassidy's! I have no clue where this kid gets it =c)

I'm such a slacker, I know, I know. Don't give me the guilt...we're already Catholic! I'm gonna talk about both kids, so stick with me...it may be long.

It seems that Kassidy is progressing so fast that I can't even catch up. Just when we get used to all the "tricks" she does, she'll through another developmental wrench in the perverbial plan. She can now:

*Identify Blue, Purple, Pink, and White with words, and point correctly to just about every other color when asked.
*Go down the stairs standing up with assistance.
*Eat pretty well with a spoon. Oatmeal seems to be the easiest.
*Follow directions at our gymnastics class, ie: stretch, shake your head yes, tickle your toes.
*Say her ABCs by repeating after a letter is said. She can do just about all the letter pretty well, except for "W" and "L".
    *Counting...everything is "Twooooo" "Thweeee"

She's getting cuter, she getting more stubborn, she's getting alot faster and she's getting smarter if that's possible.

I had my 34 week appointment last Tuesday. The Dr. said my belly was only measuring at 32, but it could have been the way Liam was positioned. She wasn't concerned. I'm sure he's dropped, because my belly is very low, and I can see my ribs (if I look for them). It's also a little easier to move. Anyway, she wants me to have an Ultrasound just to check his size, and my fluid levels since it was such a big deal with Kassidy. I'm happy to be having another US, but I wish they would have done it sooner in case the levels are low. But, whatever, no one seemed concerned up to this point, so I'm not worried.

We have our 36 week appointment on May 16th, and we should hopefully be getting our induce date. I'll keep you posted. Take Care!!!
