Happy Birthday Kassidy!!!! I can't believe Kassidy is one year old today. Last night when I put her to bed, I told her not to grow to much over night. I don't think it worked.

We had a party for her on Saturday. It went really well, and I think she had a good time. She made out like a bandit (Thank You to those who made that happen) and the child ate 1/2 of a 6 inch cake!!! You can see by the pictures that she was determined to divide and conquer that white cake! I think normal parents let their babies get a fist full and take it away...we're not normal! Surprisingly, she didn't have any trouble sleeping from all the sugar.

Kassidy has started to stand up from sitting on her own. On Friday, she finally figured it out. She was sitting on the floor in the middle of the kitchen, and she just stood right up. I was very excited. There is no keeping her down now. Crawling has become almost nonexistent, and while she is still pretty wobbly on her new stems, she's getting quick. Doggie beware!!

We are offically moved in!! Hooray. I have to tell you that the highlight of this whole moving experience was yesterday...The Cable Guy Came!!!! I hate feeling disconnected. I also had a hard time keeping Kassidy out of boxes. You never know how big a help TV is until you don't have it. Lets just say, I'm pretty sure Kassidy had more dog food in the past 3 days than Casey did!

Kassidy is doing pretty well in the new house. She's still a little out of sorts, and has been having some trouble going to sleep at night, but that should, hopefully work it self out here in a few days. I think she may be teething as well, so who knows.

Well, we are in the final hours of the last night in our house. Tomorrow is moving day, and while we are both extremely excited to be moving into a "Grown-Up" house, the feeling is bittersweet. This is the house we first brought Kassidy home to; the first place she held her head up, rolled over, crawled. Took her first steps...Her room is empty now, just her crib changing table, dresser and rocker. Every night after her bath we read "Good Night Moon" and then I lay her down. "Good Night Moon" was already packed away, so I just recited it to her (you get to remember a thing like that after 60+ passes) We will have many great memories in our new home, I'm sure, but it's still a little tough to leave behind those precious baby moments inside walls that won't be around us anymore...Good night comb, good night brush, good night nobody, good night mush, and good night to the old lady wispering hush...
