Well, aren't I the slacker!! Sorry 'bout that! Things are still where they are suppose to be, no early arrivals, although, I'm at the point now where sooner would be better!
Had ultrasound #7 2 weeks ago, and she is perfect. Looked to be weighing in at 5.5 lbs, and quite the dancer!! Her new game is running away from the heartbeat monitor when I go in for my Non-stress test...which is cute and not so cute because the test is to monitor her heartbeat and movement, and the more she moves away from the monitor the longer I have to sit there...she is her mother's daughter!
I'm convinced this kid will have a full head of hair. The ultrasound tech pointed out the "white" area on her profile was hair, and it was pretty white. Plus, the old wives tale about heartburn may just be true. I'm dying over here. Even water is giving me heatburn...I'm not kidding!
It's funny that you mentally prepare for the baby, but forget what your poor body is doing to house and nurture this new being. I still think I can run up and down the stairs to answer the phone, not taking into consideration the enormous physical changes I've undergone in the past 35 weeks, and the pain that will ensue when I do eventually reach the phone!
I went grocery shopping today, and after walking around the store for and 1.5 hours, bagging my own groceries, carrying them in the house, and unpacking them, I now know how my Barbies felt when I twisted their little legs in the sockets. Pregnant women don't walk like penguins because they are all pear shaped, they walk like that because they are in pain! But, I'm told it's worth it, so I'll suffer on!
And just to clear up one thing, before I sign out, and incase you were curious (since it seems to be a popular question to ask)...there is no way in this day of modern medicine that I would even consider giving birth to a baby without every drug available to me!! I'm not big on pain, obviously, I can't handle a trip to Kroger without being achey, and more than enough women have suffered to give me the opportunity have a pain free, or at least reduced, labor experience. I feel I owe it to them! Sort of like voting =c)
Okay, I'm done, I hope you've enjoyed this update, and it's not long now. From today, only 35 days to go! I'll try to be a little more frequent when Kassidy gets here, but I'm sure I won't be able to resist posting 50 pictures a day. Until then...Godspeed.Comments:Add a comment:
