The Dr. said it was okay to give Kassidy solids foods at her visit last week. I've been giving her about a tablespoon of cereal every couple of days or so, just to get her used to it, but not to make it a staple just yet. Well, this kid loves to suck on everything (except a bottle or pacifier). We went out to eat for Angie's birthday tonight, and I let Kassidy suck on the end of a breadstick. You'd have thought this kid never ate in her life. I'd just put the bread within her grasp, and she'd attack it...pretty cute and funny. There is a picture of her enjoying the Garlicy Goodness in the November album. Have a look! Thanks for checking in. Take Care!!

Had our four month check up today. I won the weight wager. I called 14.5 lbs. She weighs 14lbs 13oz, and is 24 inches long now! Kassidy is healthy, and the Dr. said she is doing great! He also said we can start her on cereal, food and juice if we want, but she won't need to start having it until 6 months. So we got some rice cereal and tiny jars of veggies and fruit. We'll give them a try soon.

My little baby can hold her head up!! It's amazing how things change in just one day. Saturday she was still burrowing her face in the ground because she didn't know how to work her arms for support, and Sunday, she just instantly put them under her to hold herself up. Then, once she got the hang of being up on her arms, she floped herself over onto her back! Wow!!
Kassidy is talking much more now, and loves the sound of her voice...she'll coo at the mirror that hangs from her gym, and talk to the toys that surrond her. She still gets bored fairly quickly, but I can usually get her to entertain herself for about 15 minutes down there. Her favorite place is still in Mommy or Daddy's arms.
She is also following sounds and turning in the direction they are coming from. Bill walked in the door from work the other day. Kassidy was on my knees, and when he came in, she craned her neck all the way around to see him. It was pretty cool.
Now starts the fun part. She can communicate by other means than screams and cries. How exciting!!Comments:Add a comment:
